Along with people throughout the world, we at TripInsurance.com want to express our sadness over the tragic events that occurred at the finish line of the Boston Marathon this Monday and our condolences to the families and friends of those most affected.
We would also like to show our support for The One Fund Boston—a fund-raising effort announced Tuesday by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino to help those families most affected by those events.
To help spread the word about this fund raising effort, TripInsurance.com will donate $1 to The One Fund Boston for each person who shares a post on their Facebook page requesting that their friends consider donating to the fund (up to $1000).
In a statement announcing The One Fund Boston yesterday, Governor Patrick said, “I am humbled by the outpouring of support by the business community and individuals who are united in their desire to help; The One Fund Boston will act as a central fund to receive much needed financial support. At moments like this, we are one state, one city, and one people.”
